Everybody Bikes Montreal
This program was conceived as a passion project by Stephanie Segal. Dubbed ‘the Bike Fairy’ by those involved, she believes that every kid should have a bike regardless of family circumstance. Bikes are provided free of charge and provide children the feeling of freedom unique to cycling. Funds raised are used strictly for second-hand bike purchasing and repairs when necessary.
Volunteers fundraise, pick up, deliver and seek out bicycle donations and listings. Segal coordinates all bike to family match ups, keeping track of kids‘ ages and heights, bike sizes, locations & logistics. From babies to teens, and even parents so families can ride together, Everybody Bikes Montreal, we aim to have everybody riding.
This program is under review with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Montrealers are being asked one again to give from their hearts and pantries in the city’s second Miracle food drive to collect as much non-perishable food as possible for distribution to food banks, organizations and individuals
Nellie Philanthropy is proud to support this initiative.
Nellie’s Market
Once complete, this will provide a platform for donors to find charities to whom to donate specific surplus items and charities will present themselves as a “market” for such goods, call it an “eBay for Charities”. It is also hoped that Nellie’s Market will be able to match volunteers with charitable initiatives. If you are a donor who has surplus goods, please contact us.

Restaurant Free-for-All
Restaurant Free-for-All is a program that provides meals to those individuals who are living in our homeless shelters and our streets. These are meals from some of Montreal’s most prestigious restaurants that would be inaccessible otherwise to them.
Borne of the Montreal rugby community during the Covid-19 situation, Rugby Soupe provides soup and other necessities to humans in need, focusing primarily on Montreal’s homeless population. While our rival rugby clubs compete fiercely on the field, we collaborate proudly to make a difference in our city.
“None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.” – Mother Teresa
We invite everyone to join the Rugby Soupe team as a chef, driver, grocery shopper, contributor or to donate food, clothing or personal hygiene items. For more information or to contact us, please click on the following link: www.rugbysoupe.com
Tikun Gardens
Our community is facing unprecedented challenges. During these times, it’s imperative that we focus on the basics – keeping our community fed and healthy. As we enter the summer months we are being presented with an opportunity – to find innovative ways to feed those in need and to get quarantined families directly involved in charity and tikun olam.
